Scopus Preview

Scopus is one of the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature, including scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. Scopus indexes over 22,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers and traces citations and impact factors of articles in peer-reviewed journals in all subject disciplines.

 

Scopus offers free features to non-subscribed users as Scopus Preview (limited options).

Scopus Preview or free Scopus edition - http://www.scopus.com allows to search for journals indexed in Scopus database, browse the content coverage, source metrics, author’s profile or history of publication.   

To identify the journals indexed in Scopus, click Sources link at top right corner of the page.

Tick the box Subject area you are interested in, and click Find Sources, appeared journals are indexed in Scopus. Additionally, you may search by options such as Title, ISSN and publisher.

 

              

 

 

              

 

Each journal overview page contains these details:

  • Scopus coverage
  • Publisher information
  • Subject areas 
  • CiteScore
  • CiteScore Rank and Trend 

 

           

 

Search for any author or affiliation with one click, following the Author Search link at the top of the main page.

If the author and publications are indexed in Scopus, it will appear in your search results. Click on the person’s name there. Screen will indicate some basic identification about the author, documents cited, “cited by,” co-authors, and h-index indicating publications in which the author has published. Here is a screenshot example of a search for an author and researcher Ayaz Mammadov.

 

                                   

 

The search result has lots of information, such as documents, citations, co-authors and list of published articles.
